Liam Harris (Managing Director and founder of LJH Paving) first started his career employed as Yorkstone Mason for Tarmac’s London Paving Division. Then specialising in hard landscaping on various contracts for the Corporation of London and Westminster. He continued to develop his skills and reputation as hard working, quality driven craftsman on other contracts such as Wembley Stadium, Southwark, and Birdcage Walk for the Royal Parks of London.
As a self employed forward thinking and successful stonemason he realised the next logical step was to set up in business as a stand a lone company rather than continuing as a sub contractor. He had all the business cornerstones necessary to achieve a progressive new construction company ‘A respected name, business and trade contacts, an industrious and quality driven work ethic and most importantly a team of supporting trades personnel and business managers.
LJH Paving Ltd has grown into a multi disciplined organisation, maintaining throughout its values and principles of a great service delivery and reliability for our clients. Whilst maintaining our reputation for delivering schemes on time and to a high quality standard. Recognition for our standards and levels of service has come through various industry accreditation’s and client awards over the years, such as the Master Craftsman Award from the Corporation of London.
In order for our staff to meet the expectations of LJH Paving Ltd and that of our clients we support them with training, which gives them the skills and confidence to meet these Company expectations. We are committed to maintaining and developing our staff by supportive training throughout their career with the Company.
Health and Safety is an integral and fundamental part of the company’s day to day business. Our safety culture starts at the very top with the directors and is strongly communicated through to the workforce on site.
Our goal is the elimination of all preventable injuries and to minimise risk to the health of employees, contractors and clients as well as the general public.
We will undertake to provide the necessary training and support to all employees to ensure that they understand and are able to fulfil the relevant aspects of the roles of their day to day work.
Training is carried out regularly by approved training providers many of the courses are in conjunction with the Construction Industry Training Board including those to CPCS and CSCS standard and hold STC Tubeline Cards.
A number of employees have gained or are working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ).
